Local stormwater issues in the west
Henderson, Glen Eden, Titirangi, New Lynn, Te Atatu, Massey, Swanson, Kumeu, Westgate, and Huapai all have pockets where stormwater can move fast in heavy rain. A blocked driveway channel or catchpit can quickly send water toward garages, retaining walls, or lower parts of a section.
- Steep driveways with channel drains at the bottom.
- Leaf and root issues around bush or established trees.
- Silt washing into catchpits after landscaping or storms.
- Soakage and yard drainage issues on larger sections.
