When CCTV inspection makes sense
Not every blockage needs a camera, but CCTV is useful when the same stormwater line blocks again, when roots are likely, when there is a suspected collapse, or when you need evidence before repair, excavation, or a property decision.
- Recurring stormwater blockages after heavy rain.
- Suspected tree root entry or cracked clay pipes.
- Driveway flooding where the blockage location is unclear.
- Before quoting repair work on a hidden stormwater line.
What the inspection can reveal
A drain camera may show silt, roots, pipe displacement, broken sections, squashed pipe, poor gradient, or foreign objects. That makes it easier to decide whether jetting, cleaning, repair, or replacement is the right next step.
